Under the Companies Act, the Director of a Singapore-incorporated company is required to prepare a complete set of financial statements, and present them at its Annual General Meeting (AGM). The company must then file its Annual Returns to ACRA within one month of its AGM.

Requirement

  • Financial Accounts and Documents must be approved by Company’s Directors.
  • Late Adjustment should be notified in written once Preparation financial statement starts.

Related Regulations

  • Who needs to file Financial Statements? – All Singapore incorporated companies are required to file financial statement with ACRA, except for those which are exempted. Some companies will file a full set of financial statements in XBRL format, While some others will file only salient financial data in XBRL format and fu set f financial statements in PDF. The filing requirement depends on tye of company.
  • Sole Proprietorship, Partnership or Limited Partnership – You are not required to file financial statement with ACRA.
  • Solvent Exempt Private Companies (EPCs) – Exempted from filing financial statements. Nonetheless, you are encouraged to file the full set of financial statements or the financial statement highlights in XBRL format.
